Despite only launching April 10th we do have quite lot of plans already, but we are also sure that these will evolve and change as the site develops (and also as we receive suggestions etc).
After our settling in period this page is likely to become more of a magazine style coming next month page but will always contain some details of our future plans for the site as a whole.
One of the first improvements will be to make the site more accessible to a wider audience by adding the option of having larger text sizes. We will also be adding a grading system to articles and features to indicate how in depth they are e.g. 1 = aimed as an introduction to the subject area that may be a little basic to those who already have an understanding of the topic. 5 = a more in depth and perhaps scientific article which may assume some prior knowledge. We hope that all articles will be enjoyable by all of our audience, this is just a way of giving you an idea before you start reading. We have already setup a preliminary poll in the forum covering some of this area.
Increasing our number of site/attraction, event and group listings. This will always be an aim and is being continuously worked on.
Adding further functionality to the search facilities and results such as printing facilities.
Downloadable content – most likely starting with the ‘How to…’ section.
Grading of certain articles and features so that it gives an indication of what level of knowledge it is aimed at, certainly applicable to the ‘How to…’ section and a couple of other areas.
Increasing the amount of content on the site. This will be built up in all areas as time allows, contributions are also welcome, please drop us an email via the ‘Contact Us’ page if you have any suggestions or are willing to provide articles, how to features, a new campaign you are starting or even if you just have some news to share with us.
