Today is the first day of the three day British Bird Fair at Egleton Nature Reserve, Rutland Water, Oakham. Described as the birdwatcher's Glastonbury, Birdfair encompasses the whole spectrum of the birdwatching industry whilst at the same time supporting global bird conservation. This is the event of the year if you're into birds and wildlife. There are hundreds of stands selling the latest products for wildlife enthusiasts. You'll find everything, from scopes to sculptures, binoculars to bird food, eGuides to eco-holidays!
Everyday there is a packed programme of events and a fantastic variety of lectures. To find out more about what is going on go to www.birdfair.org.uk.
We will be heading down there tomorrow and although this year, due to other commitments, unforunately we haven't got a stall we hope that next year we will have one. We will be wearing tops with the G. B. Wildlife logo so if any of you spot us feel free to come and have a chat.
