Intriguing article in the Telegraph into the realisation that some shorebirds have the ability to make prey-bearing water droplets rise upwards so that they can be consumed.
Last year a team of scientists at Bristol University had acheived the feat using vigourous vibration but it has now been discovered that birds have been doing this for millions of years.
Birds do achieve this feat surface tension, chemical properties and some fairly heavy science, but one thing that is noted is how this process is rendered useless by contamination on the water surface....
Interesting article showing once again just how amazing nature is.
