Having worked on the website's content until late last night by 10 am we decided that we needed some fresh air. A visit to Norland Moor, one of our Local Nature Reserves, certainly blew away the cobwebs. Although blustery walking across the heather moorland was a real pleasure. The skylarks were in full voice and everywhere we looked we could see meadow pipits.
I have a goal this year to photograph Little Owls but although they are common on Norland Moor we have only ever seen three and we saw these all on the same day sat on fence posts within a few yards of each other. Once we have claimed a little bit of free time back I hope to get more chances to do nature photography but in the meantime I will just keep glancing wistfully out of the office window wishing I could be outdoors.
